Biography

Dr Nabin Paudel is a postdoctoral fellow at the Centre for Eye Research Ireland, Technological University Dublin. His research focuses on the control of the epidemic refractive error “Myopia” using low concentration (0.01%) Atropine eye drops in caucasian population. His long-term goal is to understand mechanisms underlying the rapid growth of eyeball in progressive myopia and the effect of Atropine eye drops on myopia control. Moreover, he is working on multiple other projects such as big data, virtual reality and digital eye health entrepreneurship. Dr Paudel’s previous publications are available HERE.

More recently, Dr Paudel is interested in the field of data science specifically machine learning, data visualisation and applied predictive modeling. This website is built to share Dr Paudel’s journey in data science using the free statistical program R (mostly). Occassionally Dr Paudel will also post general stuff that he finds interesting (technology related) that could be of interest to others as well.

Hi everyone, welcome to my second blog post on R. Today, I will discuss some cool things I learned aboutrmarkdown. I believe that you are aware what amazing things rmarkdown can do that range from creating html posts, pdfs, word docs and LATEX docs.

Using R for exploratory data analysis (summarising data)

Hi Everyone, welcome to the first blogpost of my data science journey. In this post I am going to show you how to quickly and easily implement a variety of common exploratory data analyses using R Statistical software.
